Adult Opening Night Celebration Pass - $80 + Tax (Opening Friday Night 15th Celebration & Free Parking) - Can also be added on to a Full Weekend Pass or 1 Day Pass

Is there parking available onsite?

Friday Night Opening Celebration holders receive FREE parking for the Full Weekend, Sat 16th - Sun 17th at the Vallican Whole Centre.

All other ticket holders can pay $10 per day (Sat 16th or Sun 17th Sept) to park at the Vallican Whole Centre.

 

We encourage all ticket holders to organize Car Pooling from any of the surrounding towns.

Arrival & Departure Process

Saturday 16th Sept & Sunday 17th Sept:

  • Gates open at 8.00 am. 

  • If arriving by car, you will be guided to a parking spot at the venue. Parking Passes, $10 per day (Sat & Sun). DISPLAY IN YOUR CAR. Please head over to our reservation table to pick up or purchase the following items. We highly encourage carpooling.

  • KYF Wristband / Your name will be on our pre-purchased ticket list (bring photo ID to pick up).

  • Meal Tickets for that day need to be purchased at the reservation table, $22 per Meal. 

  • Gates close at 10.00 pm.

What are the closest Accommodation Options for KYF 2023?

  • Valhalla Pines: Pass holders receive a 15% discount. Use the discount coupon "KYF23" when booking through the valhallapines.com website to automatically receive the discount. Valhalla Pines Campground and Guesthouse is 2min drive to Vallican Whole or 10min walk to Vallican Whole.

  • Hume Hotel: Pass holders receive a 10% discount. Use the discount coupon "Hume10" when booking through the website to automatically receive the discount.

What are the food options at KYF?

KYF is a fully catered event. There will be 2 Sattvic Vegan & Gluten Free Meal options available for you to purchase throughout the weekend from our in-house Caterer. We will do our best to use as many locally sourced and organic ingredients as possible to keep our menu fresh, nutrient-dense & Wholesome for all. Learn more about the caterer. 

To receive a discount on all of your meals please order them when you purchase your ticket. You can order as many meals as you like and will receive a meal ticket for each pre-purchased meal when you pick up your wristband at the festival grounds.

Meal tickets can also be purchased at the festival grounds for a higher price point.

Leave no trace festival

Bring your own bowl, cutlery, mug & water bottle, all meals will be served in your own bowl and you will be guided to wash your own dishes at our wash station.

Will there be local vendors at the festival?

Yes, there will be 15 local vendors during the weekend of the festival.

Can I bring or purchase Alcohol to KYF?

KYF is a Sober event. Please refrain from bringing alcohol or other hard substances into the grounds of the festival. If you are caught with either, you will be asked to leave the festival.

Is there an ATM at the festival grounds?

No, there is no ATM available at KYF. The closest ATMS are at the Slocan Park Gas Station, Winlaw Gas Station in Winlaw & Maple Leaf Gas Station in Crescent Valley. These are roughly a 10-15min drive from the festival grounds.

Can I reserve my spot at my preferred classes, workshops or Talks?

No, all classes, workshops & talks are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please ensure that you arrive at least 15mins before each offering to ensure that you can get a spot for yourself. If you are not able to join the class please ask the volunteers to direct you to the next closest offering.

Outside, Uncovered space, No Sound System, No Stage with a natural grass floor.
 

We welcome you in to become one with the elements & weather of that day.

Please come prepared with shoes (optional), warm layers, water, journal, pen, rain gear, yoga mat, props, a Bbanket & any other items that you feel you need. Chairs will be provided if needed.


Fire Space
Outside, Large Covered Tent (20ft x 40ft), Sound System, Stage with concrete floor.
We welcome you to blossom & grow from within.

Please come prepared with shoes (optional), warm layers, water, journal, a pen, a yoga mat, props, a blanket & any other items that you feel you need.


Water Space
Outside, Small Covered Tent (20ft x 10ft), No Sound System, No Stage with natural grass floor.

 

We welcome you to reflect & observe within this sharing space.

Please come prepared with warm layers, water, journal, pen, yoga mat, props, a blanket & any other items that you feel you need. Chairs will be provided if needed.



Spectrum Space
Main Space, Inside, Sound System, Stage with a wooden floor.

Earth Space
Downstairs space, Inside, No Sound System, No Stage with a concrete floor.

Intention of Kootenay Yoga Festival

Our intention for the Kootenay Yoga Festival is to strengthen the connection between our surrounding communities & local businesses as a way to provide access to all who wish to explore mindful living. This all-ages weekend festival will give attendants the opportunity to immerse themselves in an array of classes, workshops, educational talks, art, culture & more. Surrounded by the glorious mountains and nature of the Slocan Valley (slhu7kíń - Sinixt təmxwúlaʔxw [homeland]), participants will be able to enjoy a semi-outdoor gathering and learn more about the traditional territory that we call home today. The Kootenay Yoga Festival will provide the much-needed connection between community members, along with education to support optimal physical, mental and emotional well-being. We believe that this festival will bring more health, happiness and abundance to our local communities.
