Kevin John

My spiritual path has many branches, with roots reaching into the soil of every continent, finding nourishment in the Truth found in a variety of cultures. While facing some deep emotional and spiritual challenges, a book called “Ayurveda and the Mind: The Healing of Consciousness” found me and inspired me to go deeper in my study of Yoga, Ayurveda, Mantra and Meditation. My day job is in musical instrument building and repair. Music is an important part of my soul's expression. So, it's no surprise that I found a strong affinity with the beauty and power of Mantra. I think it's truly miraculous that we can reprogram our mental field and thereby heal ourselves with sound! My years of musical training are finding a new application, joining my artistic and spiritual journeys together in a way that shows that they were never really separate at all.

Kootenay Yoga Festival Offering
Kirtan Circle

We invite you to join us for Kirtan! As we are vibrational beings in a vibrational universe, sound is a profound tool for releasing Samskaras, the scars on the mind which result from undigested life experiences. As undigested food is a main factor in physical disease, Samskaras are the main source of mental suffering. Mantra gradually softens these scar-patterns, rewriting our mental programming.

Join us, and experience the magic and mystery of Mantra. In our hour together we will dive deep into some easily remembered yet powerful mantras that you can use to center yourself at any time.
